I am a vegetarian so I was so happy to find that VP has a marine based collagen! I wish they had more flavors like they do for Bovine. Anyways, this stuff is great!!

Switched to this due to IBS

I started taking the bovine collagen and noticed that my IBS flare ups that month were excruciating!! I normally do not eat beef, especially close to my menstrual cycle. I thought about it and blamed the bovine collagen. I immediately stopped taking it and ordered this marine collagen powder. I'm so happy I did! It blends easy, I do not taste the sea in my coffee, and I see the same benefits to my health. Oh, and my next pain cycle was less excruciating.

Seems to work

I put this product in my coffee so I don't taste it. It's pretty thick so I only use one scoop at a time rather than two all at once. Drinking this stuff in a cold beverage like orange juice isn't for me. However, it does seem to work for me. Anyway I hope so or I'm delusional. :-) I am and 70+ woman whose skin is fragile. Bruising, etc. has been a major problem for me. Since I've been taking VPMC for about a month now, I notice a difference. I'm not bruising as much and my skin seems to have a little more elasticity.

Best collagen I've tried. No smell, no taste, dissolves fast. I put it in my tea and in my smoothies. I noticed a positive difference in my hair (thicker, stronger, shinier), nails (stronger, faster growth), skin (plump, natural glow, looking more hydrated). Tastes terrible

Not sure if any of these reviewers have a sense of smell or taste left, but of you take their word and buy this marine collagen thinking there will be no taste you are in for a sad surprise. It tastes like fishy water. The only way to get it to fully dissolve is to use warm water which makes it even stronger tasting/smelling. I will buy the other collagen from now on but for those of you who want to try this for ethical reasons here's the best way I've found to take them: Heat up some water and put your collagen in a cup pour just enough hot water in the cup to dissolve the collagen, it might take about thirty seconds but eventually the water will be transparent with a slight yellow tint to it. Add very cold water to cool it back down, this will take away a lot of the flavor that the hot water brings out. Finally, add some Mio or other flavored drink additive to it or chug it while plugging your nose. If you don't like water that smells like a Florida beach on a bad day then you'll need to mask the taste of this somehow. The serving suggestion for the CAPSULE version of this product is 7 capsules 4 times per day??!! That is ridiculous and not obvious, if listed at all, when purchasing. I've tried to reach out to get an exchange or refund and no one has gotten back to me for over a week.

My favorite collagen

This is the smoothest, easiest to dissolve and mix, and best tasting collagen. And it delivers real results, like friends commenting how beautiful my skin looks. Originally I took it to improve healing after a surgery, but the "side effects" of amazing skin and nice nails are hard to let go of. Why not 5 stars? It only comes in the smaller size, and there is a plastic scoop in every container. Would like a larger container without a scoop.

I read an article in the NewYorkTimes about collagen and went to my local Whole Foods and bought Vital Proteins Marine Collagen. I then looked for it online and found it for less on their website. (It's still rather pricey though, hence the 4 not 5 stars. )

Can't believe how I feel!

I've been using the Marine Collagen for about 3 weeks now. After one week I noticed my digestive issues were going away, and I felt overall much better than prior. I've been using bovine collagen, but it was too much for my digestion, so I began looking into Marine Collagen. I chose this because it had both types I and III collagen in it, never did I expect to have my digestion issues go away. I am curious as to what my other results will be after continued use. I do wish the container was a 30 day supply to make it more affordable.

I've been using the marine product for at least a year now and I am seeing some improvements in my hair and skin. My nails have gotten better and don't see that they break as often. I use 2 scoops every day in my coffee. I hope to see more marine offerings as I don't intake a lot of bovine based products.

This is my first month on this product. My dermatologist recommended this brand and this product for my recent alopecia. I'm only taking one scoop a day, and it's kinda funny, my head and hair smell different, in a good way. I'm having more oil production, but it has a smoother texture than before, not sticky! I noticed a difference within 48 hours

So glad I purchased this, I noticed a huge difference in my skin within a couple days. I tend to have overly dry skin and it often looks dull and after a couple days of using this product it looked moisturized and plump. I stopped using it for a week or so (I get in bad habits like this where I take really good care of my body and then get in funks) and every time I looked in the mirror it was so noticeable that I had to start up again. Mixes great, doesn't have flavor

This dissolves really well (unlike other brands I've tried) and doesn't add flavor to my coffee (a good thing!). I use it every day!

It dissolves well in hot drinks and to me has zero flavour so it doesn't affect how my coffee or tea tastes. I wouldn't say the effects have been dramatic, but my hair & nails have definitely benefited, my muscles and joints are in good shape, and it helps me get some nutrients that my diet is quite low on (as a pescatarian). Would love to see more of VP's products use fish-based collagen as this is the only product I'm able to try.

I’ve tried many collagen products that I can put in my hot tea but they always have a weird taste or texture to them.
